Melody Dorm Chapter 10

Morning breakfast ran along like usual at the Melody Dorm; boys get back from their morning jog together, girls giggling for their own silly reasons, and our teacher at his desk, planning out his lessons.

As the guys sat down to eat their now cold breakfast I noticed Takashi wasn't with them. As I was about to ask where he was, footsteps came running down the staircase and entered the dining room. Takashi was holding his book bag and a stack of papers, "Alright, I'm off."

"Wake up!" Hanae hopped onto the side of my bed. I woke up of course, but did my usual routine of sitting up and staring blankly at a wall for ten minutes before I am fully functional, "Juri??" Hanae waved her hand over my face to change my reaction. I didn't of course and kept staring off into space. Normal people wouldn't understand. .

I finally gave an 'I hate life' mumble to which Hanae understood and left to get Yasuo. She dragged him in by force and threw him across the bed.

"Hanae!!" He yelled in frustration as he struggled to sit up right.

"Happy Thanksgiving day!!" Homari greeted us as we sat down to a huge feast awaiting us on the table. The boys were out jogging like usual, but us girls were already settled down and eating. There were many kinds of traditional celebratory foods displayed; lots of rice and puddings.

"So Japanese people celebrate Thanksgiving here too?" I asked.

"Yes. But I think our holiday is a little different from yours." She set down another plate of food, covered in bread rolls.

"How so?"

"It's a Thanksgiving for all the labor our ancestors gave for us." Homari answ

"It's been quite a while hasn't it." Principle Aomori spoke to a woman, gesturing her to sit in the chair beside her desk.

"Indeed. I miss our drinking days." The woman replied back with a straight face, crossing her arms and legs in a fashionable mannor.

"Yes, but, you drink every day now." Sasaki laughed and crossed her arms across her chest.

"It's a curse that I do; I have to drink the strongest of liquors if I plan on tasting anything anymore."

School was going great so far! We were already at the end of October and thinking about the Halloween event. The school decided on a haunted school which. . Is a really bad idea for me. I have night blindness, so there is no way I could participate fully. And that is why the Melody Dorm is in charge of Costume/Cosplay shop, where people pay to get their picture taken wearing a costume. Because we are the Melody Dorm students, we would make a lot of money for the school, being so popular in the other students' eyes. Everyone will want to get a picture with us

The other part of our assignment was to continue practicing our compositions made from our weekend of inspiration so we could perform it for everyone, meaning, the whole school. Just a little extra stress added to our normal school pressure, and. . Love traumas. Ryousuke was just the sweetest guy, but I couldn't return his feelings. It was all I could think about with him in the room.

It was a big event, the first Melody Dorm Performance. Once back from the weekend of inspiration, we all worked hard to polish our songs, making them perfect. We were all thrill
